10. Delivering a healthy coast
Protect and enjoy our dunes, beaches, rocky shores and near-shore marine waters.
Providing a strategic and coordinated approach to the protection, sustainable use and enjoyment of our dunes, beaches, rocky shores and near-shore marine waters.
To do this the Strategy identifies the need to:
- Develop and implement a healthy coast management plan
- Implement the Shoreline Erosion Management Plan
- Undertake coastal rehabilitation activities in partnership with the community
- Promote and celebrate beach culture and coastal values through community engagement and education
- Implement a Healthy Coast Monitoring and Reporting Framework.
