More community spaces planned for Nambour
Plans are underway to convert part of Council’s administration building at Nambour into community spaces.
Temporary changes are coming to the ground floor of the Eddie De Vere Building in Nambour. The aim is to create new spaces for the community ahead of a more comprehensive redevelopment.
The temporary changes include a dedicated area within the foyer to provide a welcome area for the community. There will also be a bookable activity space to serve as a multi-purpose area for community activities.
Guided by the Environment and Liveability Strategy, this will create more community-focused spaces for the local Nambour community.
Work for the temporary changes starts next month. A more comprehensive renovation of the Eddie De Vere building is currently in the planning stage, during which these temporary changes will be reviewed.
The upgrade and refurbishment of the old council building is part of the Nambour Place Revitalisation Project.
