The 2024–25 annual report highlights our progress in delivering the Environment and Liveability Strategy, showcasing initiatives that nurture and enhance our region’s natural environment and improve quality of life.
This year, we took important steps to create a healthier environment and a more liveable Sunshine Coast, including:
• securing over 200 hectares of land for conservation and recreation
• completing coastal planning and projects that boost resilience and provide spaces for the community to enjoy
• publishing the 2024 Biodiversity Report
• inspiring citizen science through events like the first Sunshine Coast Marine BioBlitz
• working with Noosa Council and infrastructure providers to plan for climate hazards.
