Meridan Fields Sports Complex New AFL Precinct
New sporting fields contributing to the health and well-being of Sunshine Coast residents.
The Meridan Fields Sporting Complex Master Plan assists in the future development of sport and active recreation in Meridan Plains and the surrounding region.
In 2019 two new AFL fields and associated infrastructure were constructed as part of stage 2 works.
Stage 2 also included:
- sports field lighting
- new clubhouse facilities
- improved access and car parking arrangements (including overflow parking and upgrade road access from Red Cedar Drive)
- irrigation of sport fields
- storage shed
- sports field fencing
- goal nets
- rehabilitation and revegetation works.
The completion of stage 2 works provides increased opportunities for AFL and allows for further community activation of this valuable sporting precinct.
