Connecting through conservation

Events held on Environment Levy reserves to connect people and nature.

Spending time in nature has many positive health and well-being benefits. In fostering community connections to our natural areas, environmental conservation events are held on properties purchased through the Environment Levy.

Local schools, community groups and residents are invited to attend to take part in conservation activities including native tree planting and environmental education opportunities. This assists to build a sense of ownership and pride amongst the local community. It also helps build long-lasting connections to our natural areas. More information on how to get involved in conservation activities can be found here.
