Community CoLab open for hire

Maroochydore City Centre's latest community venue.

A low-cost venue-for-hire is open in the Maroochydore City Centre.

Called the Community CoLab, it offers a flexible space for up to 20 people. It is located on the ground floor of the Sunshine Coast City Hall building and is a great venue for small events.

This venue joins an impressive list of community facilities owned, operated and managed by council on behalf of the community. As supported by council’s Environment and Liveability Strategy, this community facility reinforces council’s commitment to fostering accessible and affordable spaces for the community’s benefit. It is anticipated to be a valuable resource in meeting the increasing demand for community spaces in the region.

Community facilities like this enable residents to better connect and engage, which in turn builds a better future for everyone.

Community CoLab is a self-service venue and is equipped with a range of features and equipment including a large screen TV, whiteboard, folding tables on wheels, kitchenette with some crockery, glassware, a dishwasher, small fridge, microwave, chairs, tables, shared toilets and shared accessible parking.

For more information about this space, contact the Community Spaces team via [email protected] or (07) 5413 1416.
