Namba Meeting Place is open

Welcome to your new community venue

Nambour’s newest community venue - Namba Place - is now open for use by all.

After years of planning and months of construction and refurbishment, the new community space is now available on the ground floor of the Eddie De Vere building in Nambour. Accommodating up to 30 people, it is a versatile and accessible low-cost space for small events, meetings and workshops.

With a kitchenette, shared amenities, and presentation facilities, the self-service venue is available to book from 6am to 8pm, seven days per week.

Namba Meeting Place takes the greater Nambour area one step closer to boasting more community-focused space and revitalising the town centre. It is anticipated to strengthen Nambour’s identity as a place of connection.

The name ‘Namba’ acknowledges the area’s rich First Nations history referring to the red-flowering tea-tree (Callistemon viminalis).

As part of Council’s Environment and Liveability Strategy, Namba Meeting Place offers locals a flexible and well-equipped space. It joins a portfolio of six other community venues, stretching from Coolum to Kawana Forest, providing a range of options for the community.
