Land for Wildlife is a free, voluntary conservation program.

Land for Wildlife is a voluntary program that helps landholders to protect and enhance wildlife habitat on their properties. The program recognises the importance of a collaborative approach to conservation. Landholders receive assistance to develop a personalised plan for their property. Through the Environment Levy, participants receive incentives such as native plant seedlings and nest boxes.

The Land for Wildlife program recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. The Sunshine Coast Land for Wildlife program has the largest membership of any other local government area participating in the national program. Across our region more than 1,000 landholders are collectively restoring more than 8,000 hectares of land.
