Council has developed a Disaster Resilience Plan 2019-2022 - a feature of the updated Local Disaster Management Plan.
Disaster resilience is the capacity to respond to change, grow and flourish following disruptions.
The plan’s primary focus is ensuring the safety and care of our residents and the millions of visitors who come to see us each year.
Council recognises building regional resilience is a shared responsibility between all levels of government, the business community, non-government sector, our neighbourhoods and the individual.
Council has identified four priority areas critical to ensuring our region can respond to and recover quickly from any disaster.
The Disaster Resilience Plan 2019 - 2022 supports implementation of the intent of the Local Disaster Management Plan 2019 - 2022.
