The Coastal Pathway is council’s longest shared pathway. It stretches from Pelican Waters in the south to Coolum in the north.
The vision is for this pathway to be a world class scenic route connecting communities and enriching the recreational experience of the coastal environment. People can explore the beautiful coastline by walking, jogging or cycling. The pathway connects beaches, parks and open space areas, providing opportunities to explore the coast’s natural beauty, services and businesses.
The Coastal Pathway Master Plan identified the path through Maloja and Tay Avenues in Caloundra as a high priority for upgrade being an important connection between Caloundra and Golden Beach.
Construction was completed in November 2019.
