Balancing urban development and the natural values of the Sunshine Coast is critical to the liveability of our future.
We propose to investigate how this can be achieved in the short and long term and promote the protection of natural values and green spaces and promote ways to reduce the impacts of urban living.
To do this, we plan to:
- investigate potential models and legislation that support a sustainable future
- make an application to UNESCO to create a Biosphere Reserve on the Sunshine Coast
- work with the community to ensure this balance continues for future generations.
