Our region’s population is growing, and this comes with a need for critical public infrastructure to support our community. At times unavoidable impacts on vegetation can occur.
To ensure a balanced outcome, it is important that we offset these impacts through restoration. This will help maintain the vegetation extent which is a defining feature of our region.
To do this, we plan to:
- reduce the impacts on our vegetation extent
- provide a framework to support offsets when required
- provide opportunities to attract vegetation restoration projects.
